From the latest very quick e-mail:
"I hope that everything is just going wonderful! I just wanted to let you know that I am now a Zone leader with my companions:/ haha it is hard work but it is fun:)"
Elder Elg also keeps telling us he loves the MTC and is so excited to get to Georgia. Only a couple more weeks! He told Mom that he is praying in Spanish now and that the language is coming. There are around 40 or 50 missionaries in his Zone! His letters are so positive. He recently sent pictures from the MTC!
Be posting more soon!....

First Letter Home - District Leader
Hello my family!
I love you so much and miss you all so much! I hope that you are all safe and having a lot of fun.
I am companions with Elder Banner and it has been very good thus far. The first day was very long!! I looked at my watch and it was only around 5 o'clock and I felt like it was almost time to go to bed. Oh, well! It was still a wonderfully great day.
I had an interview with the branch pres and so did everyone else. he is very kind. at the end of class today he came in and announced senior companions and also the district leader. so... I am now the district leader for the 12 elders in my district. they are very kind and seem to all enjoy the work. I love all of you so much and hope to hear from you soon.
I love my family! You are all wonderful! I am doing great! The spirit is so evident here! The gospel is so true! I can feel that and know that knowledge will grow.
God be with you til we meet again.
Oh, an Elder saw the family picture and asked me how old my sisters were. I brushed off the question.
Love you all,
Elder Elg
